Safety is a core value at Beach Energy.
In line with advice from health authorities, Beach is taking all reasonable steps to protect our workforce from COVID-19, while also ensuring our business can continue to operate safely and efficiently. Our Crisis Management Team has been active on this matter since February.
Beach remains a key supplier of domestic gas in Australia and New Zealand. We seek to continue this important role for the community, while also ensuring we play our part in helping to slow the spread of COVID-19.
We are enacting our Business Continuity Plans and keeping our workforce regularly informed as to changes in procedure, and how they can help to protect themselves and our business.
As you would be aware, Beach operates a number of oil and gas production sites across Australia and New Zealand. The health and safety of our staff remains our priority as we deliver this core function of our business for the community. We are now allowing only safety-or production-critical personnel to our sites and putting in place a range of further health controls including regular self-screening.
Furthermore:
- We are working closely with contractors who manage our drilling sites where some of our staff are present, to ensure their controls are in accordance with the advice of health authorities.
- We have introduced company-wide restrictions for domestic and international travel, which is now limited to business-critical activities for domestic travel only.
- We are working with companies across our supply chain to ensure we are on the front foot when it comes to mitigating any potential material supply issues.
Beach will continue to monitor this situation and put in place measures that place the health and safety of our people and the community first, in line with advice from health authorities and our own plans.
Helping to slow the spread of COVID-19 is a collective effort, and we thank you in advance for your co-operation.
Best regards,
Matt Kay
