WAITSIA GAS PROJECT STAGE TWO
Beach Energy and its joint venture partner, Mitsui E&P Australia (operator) are excited to progress the Waitsia Stage 2 project in the Perth Basin.
The Waitsia gas field is ranked one of the largest gas fields ever discovered onshore in Australia.
Waitsia Stage 2 will involve further development of the gas field, with more wells and a new production facility capable of producing 250 TJ/day.
Significant economic benefits flow to the Mid West region from the financial investments that are being made during both construction and operating phases.
Development drilling for Waitsia Stage 2 was completed in 2022. Construction of the Waitsia gas plant is currently progressing.
In addition to domestic supply commitments, Beach will export LNG from Waitsia Stage 2 via the North West Shelf.
