Our Commitment to Safety

"SAFETY TAKES PRECEDENCE IN EVERYTHING WE DO"

At Beach Energy, safety is central to everything we do.

We operate a diverse portfolio of oil and natural gas assets, from the Cooper Basin in remote South Australia, to offshore rigs in Kupe New Zealand. Across all sites, we are committed to maintaining our License to Operate, which takes precedence in all our operations.

Our goal is to operate in a safe, compliant and reliable manner and build enduring relationships and trust with our local communities, partners, suppliers and governments. All of our staff seek to demonstrate the right behaviours, ask the right questions and constantly improve procedures to drive a safe, compliant and reliable operation across all our assets.

Safety takes precedence in everything we do, and this is fundamental to our purpose of sustainably delivering energy for communities.  The Operations Excellence Management System (OEMS) supports this goal by defining an approach for systematically managing risk to protect people and environment at our operated assets.  It promotes proactive risk management, continuous improvement, and personal accountability.   In addition, the OEMS serves as the nominated ‘Safety Management System’ (or ‘Management System’) as required by the various regulations that apply to our operations and is therefore an essential tool in maintaining our licence to operate.  The OEMS has been designed to be universally applicable for all regions in which we operate.

Improving safety across our operations contributes to SDG 8.8 Protect labour rights and promote safe working environments.
