A job interview is an opportunity to showcase your personal attributes, strengths and personality, as well as opportunity for you to ask questions about the role and find out more about Beach, the benefits of working with us and what you can expect if successful.
Your interview may be in-person or virtual/online and will usually be with the person you would be reporting to and a human resources representative.
The interview length could vary, however we recommend allowing for 60 minutes.

Be prepared
Being prepared can help you demonstrate to the interviewer that you are the best candidate for the role.
Research Beach before the interview.
2-minute answers
Your answers should be insightful, concise, and not too long. Remember, the interviewer can always ask to follow up questions.
Prepare for the ‘weakness’ question.
It’s about how self-aware you are of your weaknesses and the steps you take to overcome them.
Explain yourself, what did ‘you’ do, versus what ‘we’ did?
We want to hear what you have accomplished; this is a time to explain what role you played and your specific contributions.
Stay positive.
Be ready to explain past job changes or gaps in your resume, in a positive light and provide examples of your work history.
Consider the work you’ve done that shows you have the experience doing the work which relates to the job advertised.
Be a star
Frame and practice your answers using the STAR technique.
It is a great way to help your interviewer quickly understand your experience.
Situation What was the Situation in which you were involved?
Task What was the Task you needed to accomplish?
Action What Action did you take to address the situation?
Result What was the Result of your action?
Work your way through the question.
Your thought process is often just as important as answering correctly, so if you get stuck, ask the interviewer to repeat or rephrase the question.
Be your best self
It is a great way to help your interviewer quickly understand your experience. In an interview, always behave as though you want the job. When answering questions, be positive, concise, authentic, and confident.
Body language is important.
Great body language can project your confidence. Making eye contact with your interviewers, smiling, and having good posture is important and shows that you are engaged.
Ask questions, interviews are a 2-way street.
Hiring managers want to know that you have thought about what it would be like to work in their team…..so ask them questions.
And, if your interview is Virtual/Online
Prepare and dress as if you are doing an in-person interview.
Conduct your interview in a well-lit quiet environment with an appropriate background, that is free from distractions.
Most importantly – make sure you are looking directly into the camera and not at the extra monitor you may have.
